“create the community that you want to be a part of"

  • I just wanted to pop on here and just express how much I appreciate this group.

Lately I've been drowning from OCD and anxiety/intrusive thoughts. Weekly art meetings are one of the few times I finally feel at ease and above the waters of my OCD symptoms. I love that I have other humans I can connect to about creativity and it clears my heart.

  • Lava Lamp Lounge such an inspiring and powerful place.

I’m a firm believer that each time we reach out to receptive individuals and share our stories, we create more spaciousness within… to hold ourselves, completely. Which, is what makes communities like Lava Lamp Lounge such an inspiring and powerful place.

  • Lava Lamp Lounge has helped me a lot especially with me being a single mom with no car and no one to depend on.

I am truly thankful for everyone here even the ones that I have not met in person yet I can’t wait to meet you sometime. I’ve been going through ALOT and I’ve literally lost everything I just got betrayed by my own mother and it hurts a lot. But Lava Lamp Lounge has helped me a lot especially with me being a single mom with no car and no one to depend on.

  • Thank you all so much for giving me hope to keep going.

I remember joining this Art Community on my darkest days and I keep reflecting back to that. Even though I am going through darkness I am seeing the light I am learning to learn more into my community that I have created and Morgan you have taught me that you can build your own community just by being your loving true self. I am honestly going to ball my eyes out after this. But I just want to say thank you all for being here. You are seen and heard. Every last one of you.

  • I just want to thank this community for existing, it's truly a life saver. Every time I come on. It feels like medicine every week.

I just wish I had more of that in my life. I feel like if I did, I wouldn't have all the mental challenges that come from isolation.

  • Art is my oxygen, it's what has saved my life more than anyone else could.

I feel so seen by you. I am doing all in my power to make beautiful things i am proud of in this chapter in my life. I am proud of what I have decided to create so far and what I'm choosing to create. All of you are beautiful people, and it's an honor to get to know this space

  • I just want to express my gratitude for this community. It often doesn't feel real to me often, all you supportive artist don't feel real to me cuz it's like this community is from a dream.

The creative spirit and authentic love is so large, I hope to Lava Lamp grows more and more. That there will even be an app one day. Thank you to everyone here, you humans are pure pixie dust from love itself!!

  • I found the support group to be a warm and welcoming place with so much support from all the artists.

It gave me inspiration and encouragement. I loved hearing about others experiences. One especially helpful thing was Morgan sending out takeaways in an email the following day.

  • I have loved being a part of this art community.

Lava Lamp Lounge has connected me to other artists in Columbus, encouraged creativity, and inspired me to make more art.

  • I learned more in my artist residency with Morgan then I have in my 20 years of teaching.

Morgan is a great mentor in the artist residency! Her feedback is so helpful and I am learning so much.

I believe that anyone ~ at any point in their journey ~ can step into their creative self to discover or recover their inner artist + nurture it within a creative community.
