Lake Side Mystic 2025
Lake Side Mystic partnered with the inaugural Lake Erie Sand Sculpture Tour in 2025, featuring over 100+ midwest vendors and the completion of a massive sand sculpture by Northeast Ohio’s own, world-renowned, professional artist Carl Jara. This event hit a record attendance in Mentor Headlands history, bringing in 10,000+ people from all over the midwest, scoring the front cover of The News Herald’s Sunday paper, and gaining coverage by several publications including: New Day Cleveland, @clevelandvibes (257K followers), BG News, Lake Erie Living Magazine (19.9K followers), and Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources! As this event, we proudly featured local music and entertainment at our Beach Stage including: Mythic Moves, a professional bellydance troupe from Columbus, Ohio, along with Erie Invaders, 12 O’Clock Tribe, Terry & Kirk from The Dallas, and Peter, Nathan, and Lily at the Market Stage! In addition to our wonderful participants, we were excited to work with The Friends of Headlands Beach to offer family-fun beach games and activities. This one-day event is becoming a legacy on Lake Erie’s shoreline and we are excited to start planning for our 2026 Lake Side Mystic x Lake Erie Sand Sculpture Tour. Lake Side Mystic 2024
Lake Side Flea expanded in 2024 through its intentional collaboration with Ohio’s Original Enchanted Market: “Mystic Market,” founded by Lindsay Ciulla in Columbus, Ohio. Our collaboration brought in vendors and audiences across the midwest to Headlands Beach with a day of fun in the sun! This event doubled in size, featuring over 80+ midwest vendors, 5 food trucks, 3 local musicians, a community beach clean-up, beach yoga, and hundreds of visitors across the midwest. Lake Side Mystic received a grant from Tour Lake County and several individual sponsorships, which supported providing family activities and paying our musicians. We were thrilled to expand this event with intention to celebrate our fellow neighbors, midwest artists/makers, small business owners, and enjoy our beautiful and great Lake Erie at Mentor Headlands. Lake Side Flea 2023
Lake Side Flea was an idea born from the creative brain of artist Morgan Bukovec who has spent countless seasons growing up at Headlands Beach State Park. As a creative herself, she knows the power in gathering community around the celebration of local makers/musicians/artists, small business owners, and values investment in handmade goods and boosting local economy. Morgan believes that Mentor Headlands, the longest natural beach in Ohio, is a gemstone of Lake County and Lake Erie deserves to be celebrated and appreciated alongside our community. Lake Side Flea 2023 was a one-day event that featured over 40+ local vendors, 7 full band performances, 4 food trucks, a community beach clean-up, chalk fest, beach yoga, and an evening sound bath, which raised money for our 2 non-profit partners: WomenSafe and The Friends of Headlands Beach. Hundreds of community members attended and this event picked up local news traffic! Some feedback documented:

Yes! Market and Food Vendors are located in a paved parking lot accessible for wheels. There is handicap parking in Parking Lot P-11.
Live music is at the concession stand area, which is also accessible for wheels.

Yes! All dogs must be on a leash
Dogs are not permitted in the beach area due to State Park Rules. Learn more about these rules here

We suggest you bring cash, card, or a form of payment for shopping and food vendors.
You’re welcome to bring anything to enjoy the beach. Please bring sunscreen and water to hydrate yourself!
Yes, you can bring your own food and beverages. (just make sure to dispose of them properly).
